Amanda Silver is a Corporate Vice President and serves in two roles - as Head of Product for Microsoft's Developer Division (DevDiv) and General Manager for Microsoft's 1st party Engineering Systems. The mission of the Developer Division is to empower developers and their teams to achieve more. It includes our developer tools, runtimes, and services. Products include the Visual Studio family which just crossed 50M MAU, our programming languages including .NET, C#, TypeScript, Python, C++, OpenJDK, the developer experience for Azure, our Azure Application Development PaaS and Serverless offerings, Azure DevOps, and the Open Source Programs Office. Microsoft’s 1st party Engineering Systems team focuses on improving developer productivity to ensure the security, quality, and compliance of Microsoft’s products while also improving agility and quality of life for developers at Microsoft.
